Think I've found a plot hole in Snow White.

You know how the Evil Stepmother Queen is, like, totally vain and obsessed with her own (imagined?) fading middle-aged beauty, right?

And how she takes a potion and then turns into a hag in order to slip Snow White the poisoned apple?

Well, why didn't she just make a potion to make herself more beautiful, instead of ugly?

Just saying, is all.

Are you trying to introduce logic to Disney? Or is that Kid Kid Shirt being reasonable? Disney frowns deeply on that, y'know.

Kid Kid Shirt is "far too old for Snow White" (her words, not mine!); she's on a Roald Dahl trip right now; Kid Kid Kid Shirt, tho, is still v. much in Princess and Pony Mode!

The original cut totally had that in. It was the basis for the wizards' duel in The Sword and the Stone (1963). Queen makes herself more beautiful. Snow White retaliates by making herself more beautiful. Queen responds in kind. Snow White ups the ante. By this point the animators had masturbated themselves raw and the producers had to call in animation B-team exclusively composed of eunuchs and neuters. When Walt saw the finished sequence he stripped down to his lace panties and hung from the ceiling drooling on The Seven Foleys (upon whom the dwarves were based). It was at that point that the executive producer decided to go with an ugly potion.

I just knew there had to be a reason why I started this train of thought...

so that Fritz could escalate it to the necesary level of pandemonium!
