V. sad to hear (via Robert @radionihilist) about the death of John Keel, one of Kid Shirt's favourite hyperstitional writers/theorists and a huge influence on my own personal alt.crank mythology.

I can't count the number of times I've given people copies of The Mothman Prophecies and said "No, seriously, this is *genius*". The whole collection of my And So On For Ever stories pretty directly steal his Ultraterrestrial/Haunted Planet premise. Any PKD fan needs to read Keel immediately.

Spot on, D. Anyone who's into *interesting* 'stuff' be it PKD, Robert Anton Wilson or whatever should def. check him.

Keel was hugely underrated, imo. People'll probably latch onto him 20 years down the line. His stuff was way ahead of the curve.

Richard Kadrey was trying to find *real* tape-recordings of Indrid Cold on Twitter a couple weeks ago. I gotta say: that's something I'd really like to hear too.
