interesting the things they almost got right - flatscreen TVs, the rise of email and internet shopping all came the following decade.

Yeah, some of it is curiously on the number considering the predictions were made in the late 70's. Some of the ideas just took a while to come to the market, and of course the internet facilitated the comms-related stuff. Prior to the web, everyone assumed mass-communication would all be via satellite.
