OMyGod: this beautiful thing arrived in the post this morning:

(Had to crank up the contrast quite high on this, so you could actually make out the scanned image, as the original is subtly understated)

It's the paperback edition of Part 2 of Otoliths #7, which features a visual piece and also a short prose piece by yrs truly. These both appeared originally in the on-line edition, wh/ I've mentioned before, but to see Otoliths extrude itself into the physical world is a wonderous thing indeed. There's some really lovely stuff in here - prose, poetry and some stunning visual's utterly fabulous and I'm blown away to be part of this...cos I'm stoooopid, I had no idea until recently that they did a paper edition of this.

Meanwhile, #8 is up on the website. Please go check.

While you're there, have a look at their on-line store: you can get back issues of the paper editions of Otoliths as well as all sorts of visual-linguistic delights, incl. recently published books by folks like Spencer Selby, Tom Hibbard and Paul Siegall - ideal for the next time you get stuck and can't think of a present for a difficult-to-buy-for loved one.
