BURIAL INTERVIEW

The face-2-face interview I did with Burial a few weeks ago is now up on the FACT website...I think it's in the current ink edition, in the same or a similar form...There's supposed to be a bunch of other stuff in there by me, but my own copy hasn't arrived yet because of the postal strike, so can't actually verify that yet.

RIPS

RIP Rob Deacon. Not a name familiar to many, but Deacon was involved with Sweatbox, an 80's post-industrial label whose roster incl. the wonderful Anti-Group, as well as In The Nursery, A Primary Industry, etc. He was also closely involved with Volume magazine wh/ combined print with a CD of (at the time) cutting-edge bands, a concept that seemed pretty damn radical in its day, but which is now the industry norm. Next up, he co-curated the early 90s Trance-Europe Express series of Post-Acid/Post-Rave comp.s wh/ I'm sure many of you are familiar with.

RIP Bobby Byrd. The other Godfather of Soul...

"Hot Pants," "I know You Got Soul," etc, etc.

Nuff Respekt.

Nuff Said.
