LOL. Do you think PJ Harvey was/is a supporter?

Sure she is - in fact that is a pic of her with the hat - she are not show her face around the big Y - for gross sins against the music biz - we take that sort of thing damn serious round these parts - and she has a lot to answer for - best she stays down in deepest Dorset where she is safer !!

"gross sins against the music biz" - I dunno, 'Rid Of Me' and 'Is This Desire' are both very good, IMO.

And West Bay is hardly "deepest Dorset" - she lives closer to the Somerset border than she does to me!

Ah well - must be a taste thang I suppose - simply not my cup of tea at all - according to all the pap press interviews these days, seems she has retreated to a pile in Abbotsbury .... the deciding factor on not renewing my Wire subscription was her recent appearance on the front cover - whats that all about ?

Ah, well, long term readers will be well aware of my loathing for PJ Harvey. It's the Empress' new clothes, far as I'm concerned.

I'll try not to turn this into an anti-PJ rant, which is quite difficult for me LOL! Suffice to say, check my comment's boxes (and those of my blogging colleagues) for prev. Peej diatribes. I could happily spend all morning slagging her off - I have plenty of anecdotal evidence concerning her crappiness. She's dull, derivative and frankly not v. interesting, but the Press, fans and fellow musos seem to think otherwise. One of her recent LPs cleared 900,000 copies, so I'm clearly in a minority here.

But let's not forget that she's signed to U2 management, who have a lot of clout in the biz. Rags that give Peej a bad write-up suddenly find they don't have access to U2, etc.

I don't know whether sexism is too strong a word, or maybe an inappropriate one, but I genuinely believe that if she was a man she would not have had anything resembling a career.

I've been trying to quit reading The Wire recently and, like The Farmer, her recent appearance on the front cover was an excellent excuse not to buy it. Ditto: Nick cave/Grinderman.

I just remembered that The Farmer was in a band once with PJ's old bass-player, who basically got sacked/dropped by the management for not being an LA session muso.

The team seems a little young, don't ya think? And what position does the big green guy play? Football would be a much more interesting sport if all players were required to wear oversized comedy heads.

"Comedy head" - what do you mean?

That's not a comedy head. He's from Martock.

Now look man - thats the second Martock dig in the past few posts - anyhows - I know that guy - and you need to be more specific - I think you will find he resides at Stapleton Close - something to do with the milk or maybe inbreeding - but they do indeed all look like that in that part of the village !!
