Sad to see The Gardens niteclub being bulldozed to make way for yet more Yuppie Flats, killed-off by a mixture of corporate supermarket generic pub-club-bars w/ late drinking/dancing licenses, and rampant speculator/property-developer greed that is turning towns in this country into indistinguishable clones of each other:

(I would've wandered round inside, but there was a security fence in effect)

Punch Tavern/Greene King mutherfuckers got a lot to answer for. Who else amongst my generation copped-off (or, rather, failed to cop off) there to a soundtrack of Belouis Some's "Imagination"...?

can't believe the gardens is gone... you turn your back on yeovil for 20 lousy years ands suddenly everything is favourite memory of gardening is being punched apart by psychobillies while king kurt played... on the plus side, last time i wasin yeovil i saw a lovely green field that used to be buildings and carparks when i was a kid... how often can you say that?

next you'll be telling me that Olivers has closed down...

Wow, spent a lot of time & money in The Gardens and Olivers 'waiting for the slow ones' then failing to cop off.

Ah, yeah, I remember the mud-wrestling incident, tho I wasn't actually there. They set up some sort of mud-bath arena on the dance-floor, didn't they?

Ah, that'll be your brother Tom, then. LOL!
