NOVEL

Well, as of today, it looks like one of my proposals for a novel has been green-lighted for its next phase by a UK publisher. Now the real hard work starts: full chapter break-downs, sample chapters, etc. So I'm gonna be up to my, uh, balls in work for the next few weeks.

This is a very good sign; the odds of this actually coming out as a book/novel have now jumped from over 500/1 to possibly less than 10/1...obviously it could still get binned if they don't like my prose style, etc, but fingers crossed...it's a strong concept/story, just have to knuckle down and bulldoze thru it.

Can't go into any details right now, for commercial reasons, but you'll be the first to know if/when it all starts coming together. For now, I'm going to have to be a bit vague and describe it as a high-octane wide-screen Action/Horror romp.

I think it would be an understatement if I said I was f-f-f-fucking excited!

Right, off to do some work, then watch the Hawkwind documentary on BBC4 at 9:00.

Good one....

When it's published, can I write one of those little one line reviews in raised gold type on the back?

remember to keep proper backup copies of the files, though!
a friend of mine was on the 500th page of his book when the computer broke down- he didn't have a backup copy... !

LOL! Yeah, like "This book's so hot I burnt my fingers reading it - says top blogger Doppelganger"

or: "Astoundingly bad - The Daily Mail" LOL!

Still working on chapter breakdown, so taking this one step at a time.

I always back stuff up onto (a) a mobile hard-drive caddy and (b) a pen-stick.
