"FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS..."

Me and a mate saw "The Omega Man" when it came out in the cinema; loved it sooooo much that I sat thru it twice in a row (can you imagine doing that for a film now?). Great soundtrack too: love it when he's driving thru a deserted San Fran w/ "Brasilia" playing on the 8-track.

It's hard to imagine there was time when Charlton Heston was actually, well, cool, I guess: "The Omega Man", "Soylent Green", "Planet of The Apes"...(not to mention Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" back in the Fifties)...

Whatever happen to Heston? Whatever happened to Hollywood? Ahhhhh, the Seventies, the beautiful fucking Seventies...

Mark my words: he'll die now that I've written this. A mention in this blog is the kiss of fucking death, the garlicky breath and un-oil'd clang of The (Yankee) Reaper...

My voodoo really is that strong.
