Tried roasting a chicken for tea, but one end of the wretched thing turned dark green after half an hour in the oven. It looked positively satanic.
Never seen a chicken go that colour before. The butchers were shut so I'd bought it in a hurry at Somerfields. Never again! They can keep their evil-bastard green hell-chickens. In the end, Chris drove up Asda and bought a ready cooked one...which was fine, though a little dry, I thought. At least it wasn't green.

What do we really mean when we use the word 'ordinary'?

I've found through much experience of chicken roasting that the best result is to put the fucker in there alive.
